With the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition.
Bring it over.
Import packs from the Minecraft Launcher, Prism, MultiMC and CurseForge. Your other launcher keeps working.
The ones people ask.
Is there a Windows version?
Yes, in beta. Get it here.
Does it work on an Intel Mac?
No. Apple silicon only.
Do I still need to buy Minecraft?
Yes. You need Minecraft: Java Edition on your Microsoft account.
What does it do with my account?
You sign in with Microsoft directly. MC² never sees your password.
Will it touch my existing worlds or mods?
No. MC² keeps its own library and never touches .minecraft. Imports are copies.
A pack crashes on launch. What now?
Run the Culprit Finder on it. It finds the mod that crashed, without touching your pack.
Do capes cost anything?
The capes that ship with MC², animated ones included, are free. Your own picture as a cape comes with Gold. If yours was already up, it stays up.
Why can other people not see my cape?
MC² capes are seen by other MC² players. Your Mojang capes are seen by everyone.
Why does it ask for Screen Recording or Accessibility?
Screen Recording is for recording the game. Accessibility puts game windows back where you left them. Both are optional.
How do updates work?
Automatically. MC² downloads them in the background, and one click relaunches into the new version.
I upgraded from Lodestone and my packs are missing.
If they were on an external drive, they were not moved, and nothing was deleted. Open an issue and we will help.
Does closing the window quit it?
No. It stays in the menu bar so servers and downloads keep going. Quit with ⌘Q.

Open an issue with what happened and the launch log.
